VGAlert: Emergency Notification System

Overview

VGAlert is Vance-Granville Community College’s official emergency communication platform, powered by Regroup. It is designed to keep students and employees informed of urgent situations such as severe weather, campus closures, and other emergencies.

How It Works

All students and employees are automatically enrolled in VGAlert using the contact information provided at the time of initial engagement with the College.

Notifications are sent via:

  • Text (SMS)
  • Email
  • Social media (Facebook and Twitter)
  • Campus Digital Signage

Why It Matters

VGAlert ensures timely and reliable communication during critical events. We strongly encourage everyone to keep their contact details up to date to receive alerts without interruption.

Manage Your Alert Preferences

You can log in to the VGAlert portal to:

  • Update your mobile phone number or email address
  • Add additional contact methods (e.g., a second phone number)
  • Choose your preferred notification channels

Log In to VGAlerts using your VanguardID when prompted.
