Career and Job Placement Services

Vance-Granville Community College will not engage in substantial misrepresentation of itself as an institution, the nature of its educational programs, its financial charges, the employability of its graduates, or its relationship with the Department of Education. See complete Misrepresentation (vgcc.edu) statement.

It is the responsibility of students to know the requirements to be employed in fields for which training is provided. This includes but is not limited to licensures, certifications, permits to carry firearms, and failure to disclose factors, such as prior criminal records or preexisting medical conditions, that would prevent an applicant from qualifying.

Vance-Granville Community College (VGCC) does not offer job placement services. VGCC Career Services offers learning opportunities for students to develop job search skills such as creating resumes and preparing for interviews. Students are offered multiple ways to connect with employers and learn of employment opportunities through employer visits to campus, hiring events, bulletin boards, and job posting announcements. These activities and announcements do not constitute an endorsement or recommendation of individual employers or agencies by the college. VGCC is not responsible for any representations or guarantees with regard to job postings, wages, working conditions, safety, or other work-related issues. It is the responsibility of each student to research employers and take all necessary precautions when applying, interviewing and accepting positions for employment.

The college does not advertise job placement rates as a means of recruiting students to enroll, thus they are not readily available. Visit NC TOWER , North Carolina’s Tool for Online Workforce and Education Reporting, to view information about the workforce and educational outcomes of programs at North Carolina community colleges and public universities.
