Website users may submit personally identifiable information through various contact and registration forms on our website. Personally identifiable information such as name, email address, phone number, mailing address and other information is used for the fulfillment of information requests or processing of course enrollment in compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) . SSL (Secure Sockets Layer), an industry recognized security encryption protocol is used in an effort to ensure secure collection and transmission of web users’ personally identifiable information. VGCC does not share sensitive user data with third party companies for their independent use.
Students and graduates have the option to set up a Workforce Link profile on the VGCC website for the purpose of being recruited for employment. Data shared on Workforce link profiles will be accessible to employers who have registered Workforce Link profiles. Employer data shared by registered companies are accessible to students who have a Workforce Link profile. Workforce Link is password protected and only accessible to users with a registered profile. Workforce profile requests are screened and approved by VGCC staff.
