Guest Tickets

Graduates do not require a ticket.

All attendees aged three (3) and older must have a ticket to enter the ceremony, including current VGCC students who plan to attend as guests. Children under the age of three (3) do not need a ticket if they will sit on a guest’s lap during the ceremony.

Guest Ticket Allotment

Guest ticket allotments are determined by several factors, including the number of eligible graduates and venue capacity. Each graduate is guaranteed 4 guest tickets for their assigned ceremony. All graduates will need to follow the steps below to ensure tickets for their guests.

For questions regarding any of the following information, please email [email protected].

Step 1 – Guaranteed Tickets

Apply for graduation by April 3, 2026.

After the April 3rd application deadline, graduates will receive an email from the Registrar’s Office with a link to claim guest tickets. Graduates are responsible for checking their VGCC email for this message and must claim up to their 4 tickets by Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11:59pm. Graduates who do not claim their tickets by the April 24th deadline will forfeit their guaranteed ticket allotment.

After the April 24th deadline, any unclaimed tickets will be released and no longer guaranteed.

There is no waitlist for guest tickets.

Step 2 – Additional Ticket Lottery

Graduates will have the opportunity to claim additional tickets through a lottery after the April 24th deadline. Graduates choosing to participate in the ticket lottery will receive information on how to claim additional tickets via their VGCC email on Monday, April 27, 2026. Graduates are responsible for checking their VGCC email for this message.

Graduates choosing to participate in the lottery must claim additional tickets by Sunday May 3, 2026 at 11:59pm.

Step 3 – Ticket Distribution

McGregor Hall will electronically distribute tickets to graduates via their VGCC email on Wednesday, May 6, 2026. Graduates will be able to choose guest seats on a first-come, first-served basis in McGregor Hall. Once seats are selected and confirmed, graduates will be responsible for distributing tickets to their guests. Each guest must present a ticket with a unique, scannable QR code to enter McGregor Hall.

Guests without a scannable ticket will not be admitted.

Those unable to attend in person may join the event livestream on the official VGCC YouTube channel.

Evening of Ceremony

Each guest must present a ticket with a unique, scannable QR code to enter McGregor Hall.

Tickets may be printed or displayed on a smart device for scanning at the entrance.
