Step One: Set Up Your Accounts

To set up your student accounts, including myVGCC and your student Email, please follow the steps outlined on our New Student Quick Start Guide.

Step Two: New Student Orientation

This step is not required for visiting students.

Sign up for New Student Orientation. Online and In-Person options are available.

Step Three: Submit Official Transcripts

There are three ways to submit your official transcript(s) to VGCC:

1. Drop off transcript(s) in a sealed envelope in-person at our Admissions Office in Henderson.
2. Send them electronically to: [email protected]
3. Mailed in a sealed envelope to: Vance-Granville Community College ATTN: Admissions P.O. Box 917 Henderson, NC 27536

Returning Students: If you’ve previously attended Vance-Granville, we likely have your transcripts on file unless you’ve attended other schools since. Feel free to contact us for assistance with your specific situation.

Step Four: Meet With Your Advisor

Meet with your academic advisor to determine placement testing eligibility as well as discuss your program of study, plan your courses, and register for classes! Courses must be approved by your academic advisor before you can complete registration.

Step Five: Apply for Financial Aid

We encourage all students to apply for financial aid. Visit our Financial Aid or Scholarship pages to review available options.

Step Six: Pay Tuition and Fees

Pay your tuition and fees by the due date OR finalize financial aid by the due date. Review our Tuition and Fees page for a breakdown of costs or our Payment Options and Deadlines page for additional information.
