Section 5.C – Remote Access to College Information Systems

It is the responsibility of all Vance-Granville Community College employees with remote access privileges to the College information systems and College data to ensure that their remote access connection adheres to all VGCC policies and procedures regarding security of data and confidential information. Remote access will only be granted in limited circumstances and only to authorized users after approval from their supervisor.

All employees with remote access privileges or authentication credentials from off-campus are expected to operate in accordance with all College policies related to data as if he or she was working on campus. All employees are responsible for maintaining security practices in the retrieval and management of data on VGCC information systems.
