Medical Office Administration – Medical Billing & Coding

Program Description

The Medical Billing & Coding concentration prepares students for entry-level positions in healthcare billing and coding. Emphasis is placed on accurate assignment of diagnostic and procedural codes, insurance processing, and regulatory compliance.

Coursework includes ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding, reimbursement methodologies, electronic health records, and certification exam preparation.

Graduates are prepared to work in medical offices, hospitals, insurance companies, and billing services. Upon completion, students may be eligible to sit for national coding and billing certification exams.
