VGCC Seminar explores Employment laws, rights

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar, entitled “I’ve Got Rights,” from 9 a.m. until noon on Thursday, March 5 in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

The seminar, led by Harry Ponder of Asheville, will cover laws that have an effect on employee/employer relationships, on how employees are treated and on the rights of employers and managers. Participants will learn how to protect their companies from unnecessary legal actions.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, ext. 3275 or ext. 3240.
