VGCC offers Seminar on E-mail etiquette at work

Area businesspeople can learn how to steer clear of e-mail mistakes by attending a free seminar offered by Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center in January. The seminar, entitled “E-mail Etiquette in the Workplace,” will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 21 in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

“Your e-mail is as much a part of your professional image as the clothes you wear, the postal letters you write (assuming you still do), the greeting on your voice mail, or the handshake you offer,” said VGCC Office Systems Technology instructor Amy O’Geary , who will conduct the seminar. Participants will leave the class with a greater ability to impress on every front and to build positive business relationships through the e-mail they send.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, ext. 3275 or ext. 3240.
