VGCC Holds Seminar on Sexual Harassment at Work

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will offer a free seminar for business and civic leaders on sexual harassment in October. The seminar will be held from 1 until 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23 in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

Harry Ponder of Weaverville will help participants understand their responsibilities regarding the problem of sexual harassment in the workplace, which has cost organizations money and key employees. The seminar is ideal for business owners and managers, who can gain insight into the law regarding sexual harassment and what constitutes a hostile work environment.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar. To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, ext. 3275 or ext. 3240.
