Horse on Campus: VGCC Day Care Center kids excited by special guest

Children enrolled in the Day Care Center on Vance-Granville Community College’s Main Campus have recently been studying the Old West, with a series of western-themed learning activities. And what would cowboys and cowgirls do without their horses? On Nov. 15, the young students, some in western attire, received a special visit from Brenda Satterwhite of Henderson and her Palomino, named Suede. Satterwhite is the grandmother of three children enrolled at the Day Care Center . Pictured above, two-year-old Owen Beal of Wake Forest reaches to pet Suede with the help of his teacher, Pamela Harris. Next to Brenda Satterwhite is her grandson, Tre (in black cowboy hat).
