National Entrepreneurship Week

Store front with "We're Open Welcome" sign.National Entrepreneurship Week (NEW) is a celebration of small businesses, innovators, and creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life and drive economic vitality. During NEW week, it is a time to celebrate, be inspired and motivated to do what you love. National Entrepreneurship Week is a congressionally-chartered initiative founded in 2006 that takes place the third week of February annually.

This year it will be celebrated February 13 – 20, 2021. At Vance-Granville Community College, we plan to celebrate the week with a variety of virtual events.

What is Entrepreneurship?
Entrepreneurship is staying committed to your goals, taking risks to starting a business and/or bringing a product to life. This video will introduce you to entrepreneurship. Our Small Business Center can help you get started toward reaching your goal.

2020 NC IDEA Ecosystem Summit: NC Black Entrepreneurship Council from NC IDEA

The North Carolina Black Entrepreneurship Council (NC BEC) will lead NC IDEA in its programmatic and grant making ambitions to address the challenges of Black entrepreneurship in North Carolina. The Council will work closely with the Foundation to identify, recommend and support partners, grant recipients and programs to serve the entrepreneurial aspirations and economic potential of North Carolina’s Black community.
