Who is Eligible for the ESL Program?

The English as a Second Language Program (ESL) is for those whose native language is not English.

Adults 18 and over may enroll.

What is Taught?

Instruction in the ESL program provides the opportunity to improve the communication skills, as well as the daily living skills, necessary to become a more integral part of the adult American community.

Three (3) ESL levels are available:

  1. Beginning
  2. Intermediate
  3. Advanced

What are the Guidelines?

Students must follow the procedures and guidelines of the College and abide by the Student Code of Conduct as listed in the College Catalog; students must be mature and responsible. Children or other individuals (non-students) accompanying students are not allowed in classrooms or testing centers, nor should they be left alone in the campus common areas. The College cannot assume responsibility for these individuals while on campus.

How long does it take to complete?

Students begin at their individual functioning level and progress at their own rate. No specific time limit is set for completion.

What does it cost?

There is no cost to be enrolled in the English as a Second Language Program. All services provided are free.

When is enrollment?

Enrollment is open / ongoing throughout each semester.
