VGCC Hosts Successful Health & Career Fair at Franklin Campus

|
News, Program News

On October 23, the VGCC School of Health Sciences held a dynamic Mini Health & Career Fair at the College’s Franklin Campus, bringing together students, job seekers, and community members for a day of health services, career opportunities, and celebration.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Advance Community Health for bringing their Health Screening Mobile Unit and providing complimentary health screenings that enriched the event. Your partnership made a lasting impact, and we appreciate your dedication to supporting community health.

A special thanks goes to Dr. Krystal Foxx, Director of Career Services, for her invaluable collaboration in organizing the event. Your partnership and support were instrumental in its success.

We also thank Hollie Garrett, Program Head for Office & Medical Office Administration, for taking the time to present during the fair. Your participation added great value to the event, and we are grateful for your expertise and insights.

Additionally, we sincerely appreciate Director of Admissions & Enrollment Services Sherri Alston and her team for their generous donation. Your contributions ensured the event was enjoyable for all with giveaways, refreshments, and music throughout the day.

This event coincided with National Medical Assistants Recognition Week, providing a wonderful opportunity to highlight the vital role of medical assistants and showcase VGCC’s Medical Assisting program. The fair was part of Vance-Granville’s fall 2024 Mini Career Fair series, featuring career paths in various STEM fields.

Thanks to everyone who attended and made the day a success—we look forward to seeing you at future events!
