VGCC Career Services invites industry partners, employers, and workforce stakeholders to participate in its Spring Career Fair & Apprenticeship Convening on Thursday, April 23. This two-part event is designed to strengthen connections between employers and job seekers while advancing regional workforce development through collaboration and apprenticeship opportunities.
The day begins with the Spring Career Fair, held from 9 a.m. to 12 noon. The career fair will bring together job seekers and employers representing a wide range of industries. Participating companies will have the chance to showcase career pathways, discuss current/future hiring needs, and engage directly with potential employees. It will be an excellent platform to connect with emerging talent and highlight the opportunities available within employer organizations.
Immediately following the career fair, VGCC will host an Apprenticeship Convening from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. In partnership with ApprenticeshipNC, this session will bring together employers, educators, workforce partners, and community stakeholders for meaningful discussion around apprenticeship programs and work-based learning. Participants will explore best practices, learn about available resources, and discuss strategies for expanding regional apprenticeship and training opportunities.
Whether you’re recruiting new talent, exploring apprenticeship models, or strengthening partnerships within the workforce ecosystem, this event offers valuable opportunities for engagement and collaboration.
Employers interested in participating should register in advance using the online Spring Career Fair 2026 Employer Registration Form. The Career Services team will share additional event details with registered companies closer to the event date. For more information, please contact Lorene Allen at [email protected] or (252) 738-3476. We look forward to your participation!
