VGCC students hold Flea Market fundraiser

The Vance-Granville Community College chapter of the Phi Beta Lambda business student organization will host an indoor Yard Sale/Flea Market on Saturday, October 29, from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m. in the VGCC Civic Center on the college’s main campus in Vance County. Phi Beta Lambda is the national organization for college students who are preparing for a variety of careers in business.

“This is a great way to start your fall cleaning now,” said VGCC Phi Beta Lambda faculty advisor LaTonya Steele. “You can clean out your closets, garages, storage units and attics or come shop for some great bargains, while also supporting our students.”

Members of the public are invited to browse through the flea market and to sell their own items by renting six-foot tables for $10 each. To reserve a table, participants are encouraged to make their payment by 3 p.m. on Thursday, October 27. Tables will also be available for rental on a first come, first served basis on the day of the event. The Phi Beta Lambda club will also gladly accept donations from anyone who is not interested in renting a table.
