VGCC Student Chosen For State SGA Post

Ann Taylor of Vance-Granville Community College has been chosen vice president of the NC4SGA, the student government association representing the 59 schools in the North Carolina Community College System. She is also chairperson for the Central Division of the state SGA.

An Oxford resident, Taylor earned an associate in applied science degree in Business Administration from VGCC in May 2001.

During the 2000-2001 school year, she served as president of the VGCC Student Government Association and represented the student body on the college Board of Trustees.

Taylor returned to school in fall 2001 as a student in the Human Services Technology program at South Campus. She is currently vice president of the VGCC SGA and serves as an Ambassador. She was named to the Dean’s List for Fall Semester 2001.

As vice president of the state SGA, Taylor is coordinating the NC4SGA Spring Conference, to be held March 7-10 at the Research Triangle Park Sheraton. This conference is open to all Student Government Association members across the state.

We applaud Ann Taylor, a busy and dedicated VGCC student, for her many accomplishments.
