VGCC Seminar Promotes Self-Esteem and Motivation for Women

Vance-GranvilleCommunity College’s Small Business Center will present a free seminar, entitled “Self-Esteem and Motivation for Women,” on Wednesday, Sept. 26. The seminar will be held from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

The seminar will be led by Denise Ryan, who holds an M.B.A. and is the founder of Raleigh-based FireStar. As a motivational speaker, Ryan has reenergized hundreds of women. She noted that this “high-energy” seminar is designed for women, but its concepts apply to everyone. Ryan will explore the role of attitude in detail, offering tips on how to keep yours positive. Finding your unique purpose is another key theme, and attendees will explore what makes them unique. Getting out of your “comfort zone” and confronting fears will be described as major ways to improve self-esteem.

VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar.  To reserve a seat, pre-register by calling the Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, ext. 3239 or ext. 3240.
