VGCC Seminar Helps Local Residents Earn Extra Income

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will present a free seminar on starting a business for extra income on Tuesday, Feb. 20. The seminar will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County. Mike Collins, president of The Perfect Workday Company in Raleigh, will lead the information-packed, three-hour seminar. Collins, who has led numerous seminars at VGCC, will discuss how to create ideas for a second income, how to decide what type of business to go into, and the basics of actually starting the business. Participants will learn the differences between service, retail and manufacturing businesses as sources of a second income. A wide variety of business types will be explored.VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar.
