VGCC Seminar Describes What Every Manager Should Know

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center will present a free seminar for people who work as managers or supervisors on Tuesday, March 20. The seminar will be held from 9 a.m. until noon in room 7107 of Building 7 on the college’s main campus in Vance County. Instructor Mike Collins of Wake Forest, president of The Perfect Workday Company in Raleigh, will lead the information-packed, three-hour seminar. Collins, who has led numerous seminars at VGCC, said that participants will learn how to help employees focus on their organization’s mission, how to decrease miscommunication, how to manage employees who are also friends, how to create a team, how to discipline effectively, and how to manage stress.VGCC Small Business Center Director Diane Finch advised that space is limited for this free seminar.
