VGCC seeking Golfers

Men and women interested in joining the Golf team at Vance-Granville Community College have until Monday, Jan. 31 to sign up. The 2011 season is scheduled to begin in early March.

The VGCC Vanguards intercollegiate golf program is led by first-year coach Jim Schwab of Durham, who holds a master’s certification from the United States Golf Teachers Federation. Schwab takes the reins of the program as it prepares for its third season, and its second season of official National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA)-level competition. The Vanguards will travel to play other college teams across the state, and will host teams at Henderson Country Club.
