VGCC Schedules Morning, Evening Summer Acrylic Art Classes

A Painting in Acrylics class will be offered for eight weeks this summer in morning and evening sessions at Vance-Granville Community College’s main campus.

Evening classes will be held from 6:30 to 9:30 on Mondays, beginning June 14 and running through Aug. 9. A separate morning class is offered from 9:15 to 12:15 on Tuesdays, beginning June 15 and ending Aug. 10.

Instructor Lee Brigham said the class will teach different techniques and different brush strokes and the use of different types of brushes for different effects. A quick method of completing paintings, as well as more thorough techniques will be taught.

“The students will also explore painting what makes life interesting for them,” Brigham said.
