VGCC SBC To Conduct Free Workshop On Motivating, Training Hourly Workers

All employers want to get the most production out of their workers. A free workshop coming Oct. 21 at Vance-Granville Community College will show that it’s up to employers to motivate and train their workers to do a great job.

Mike Collins, president of The Perfect Workday Co. and a frequent presenter of VGCC Small Business Center seminars, will conduct the workshop, “Motivating and Training Hourly Workers,” from 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Tuesday, Oct. 21, in Room 9209 on the college’s main campus.

Topics to be covered include motivating hourly workers who are not performing, using the five management resources you have, creating structured and methodical training, understanding what workers really want and others.

Diane Finch, Small Business Center director, said, “This seminar can help any manager identify the specific issues that create problem employees, and it will also focus on how managers can better deal with the stress of managing.”

For more information or to pre-register for this seminar, call the VGCC Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, ext. 3239 or 3240.
