VGCC partners with Vino Oasi for holiday event planning seminar

The Vance-Granville Community College Small Business Center is offering a free seminar, “Holiday Event Planning for the Small Business Owner,” on Tuesday, Oct. 10, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at , located at 3200 Bliss Trail in Stem.

The instructor will be Lisa Gingue, the owner of both Vino Oasi, an event venue, and The Hub in Oxford (formerly Stovall’s Gifts). Lunch will be provided by Vino Oasi to the first 20 people who register.

The seminar is designed for small business owners who want to consider planning events that will attract customers during the upcoming holiday season. “Hosting an event is hard work but, if done correctly, can yield great results for your small business,” Gingue said. “This seminar is perfect for the beginner event planner and for those just needing some ideas on how to plan events for your business.”

Topics to be covered include: how to determine and set realistic events for a business; event planning techniques; how to budget for an event; and how to add value.

The deadline to register is Oct. 4.
