VGCC Offers Wastewater Treatment,Hospital ER Coding Classes In October

Wastewater treatment plant operators who need to be certified at Levels I and II will have the opportunity to take classes to prepare them for those exams beginning in October at Vance-Granville Community College.

Occupational Extension classes for hospital personnel who need Emergency Room ICD-9 Coding instruction will also begin in October at VGCC.

Wastewater Treatment Level I and II will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Oct. 14, 2003-Jan. 27, 2004, from 5:30 to 9 p.m., in the mobile classroom at the back of VGCC’s main campus in Vance County. At the completion of the course, students will be tested for certification at the two levels.

Cost of the wastewater instruction class is $60 plus the cost of the book.

The ICD-9 Coding class will be held on Tuesdays, Oct. 28-Dec. 16, in Room 7107, in the new classroom building on the main campus. Registration cost for this class is $60 plus book.
