VGCC Offers Timely Tax Tips Class for Businesses

This is the time of year when individuals and business operators begin to think about tax filing and to look for tips to help them file accurately and save money.

Vance-Granville Community College’s Small Business Center is offering a free class to help business operators. “Tax Tips for Your Business” will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 9 p.m. in Building 9 on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

This workshop is designed to help business people understand what they can and cannot do as it relates to small business taxes. Different business structures and recording transactions will be discussed, and tax tips galore will be provided.

Jess R. McLamb, president of The Roper Group in Raleigh, will conduct the workshop. Since beginning her consulting business nine years ago, McLamb has trained hundreds of entrepreneurs across the state on how to start, market and manage their businesses.

Persons interested in attending the workshop should call the VGCC Small Business Center at (252) 492-2061, ext. 3240 or 3239, to register.
