VGCC offers special Welding course at Franklin Campus

Vance-Granville Community College’s Franklin County Campus in Louisburg will offer a special course, “Production MIG & TIG Welding Techniques,” this summer. This occupational-extension course will be held at the Franklin County Campus on Mondays and Wednesdays, 8 a.m. until noon, from June 25 through Aug. 25.This specialized course emphasizes high-skilled production welding techniques, which lead to efficient, high-quality competitive production and upgrading of the in-plant work force. The course is designed for individuals who have some Metal Inert Gas (MIG) or Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding experience. The class will be taught by Russell Wahrman, a certified Welding instructor and inspector with over 25 years of domestic and international experience.The cost of the class will be $60.Franklin Campus Assistant Director Anthony Pope advised that the class is limited in size and will fill up quickly.
