VGCC Offers Computer Skills Class

An upcoming Vance-Granville Community College course focuses on giving area residents the basic computer skills they need to succeed on the job in the twenty-first century.“Computer Skills for the Workforce” will be offered Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on the college’s main campus in Vance County. The course begins on Monday, April 16 and continues through May 25.The primary focus of the course will be on Microsoft 2003 programs, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Keyboarding basics will also be taught.The cost of the course is $65, plus a $3 technology fee.
