VGCC Invites Beginners to Learn to play Golf

When temperatures start to cool this fall, Vance-Granville Community College wants area residents to enjoy the weather with a round of golf. A six-week course on golf for beginners will be offered at Bull Creek Golf and Country Club in Louisburg, on Mondays from Sept. 10 through Oct. 15. Each class will begin at 6 p.m. and continue until about 8 p.m.Golf Pro Bryan Marshburn will teach students the basic techniques to help them become golfers.“Pull those clubs out of the garage and put them to some use,” VGCC Franklin County Campus director Anthony Pope enthused. “If you want to release some stress or just get the week started right, this is the class for you.”The cost of the course will be $75 per person, plus a golf ball fee.For more information and to register, call the Franklin campus at (919) 496-1567.
