VGCC History club elects leaders

Vance-Granville Community College’s History Society recently elected officers for the 2008-09 year.

Jamie Burnside (pictured), a VGCC College Transfer student from the Franklinton area, was elected president. Other officers include Vice President Patrick Nethercutt of Oxford, Secretary/Historian Faye Orr of Kittrell and Treasurer Carla Boyd of Ridgeway.

Membership in the History Society is open to any VGCC curriculum student interested in expanding their classroom knowledge of history and enjoying cultural experiences.
