VGCC Community Band to hold first rehearsal

Vance-Granville Community College’s Community Band will hold its first rehearsal on Monday, Oct. 20 from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. in the Civic Center on the college’s main campus in Vance County.

Area musicians are invited to join and perform with the group, which will be a joint effort between interested citizens and VGCC students. Michael Stephenson, the college’s new music instructor, is leading the band. The band will rehearse on Monday evenings until its first concert, which is scheduled to take place on Dec. 12 in the Civic Center .
