VGCC Class Introduces Students to Healthcare Occupations

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a course, “Introduction to Healthcare Occupations,” for Spanish speakers at the college’s South Campus , located between Creedmoor and Butner. Classes will be held on Mondays from 6 until 9 p.m., Oct. 20 through Nov. 17.

Students will become better prepared for jobs in healthcare facilities, convalescent homes, medical offices and hospitals. Topics of the course will include general healthcare vocabulary, patient care, workplace safety procedures, human anatomy, nutrition and infection prevention and control.
