Two VGCC volleyball players earn honors

Two members of the Vance-Granville Community College women’s volleyball team were recently awarded 2013 All-Region honorable mentions for National Junior College Athletic Association Region X, Division III.

 

The honored Vanguards were (pictured above, from left) Brianna Gatson of Bunn (a middle blocker) and Kayla Padgett of Henderson (an outside hitter). Both are students in the College Transfer program at VGCC, and both recently completed their first season on the volleyball squad.

 

Gatson was a member of the volleyball team at Bunn High School, while Padgett played for Victory Christian in Henderson.
