Thirteen Graduate from VGCC Nurse Aide I Program

Vance-Granville Community College recently recognized 13 students who completed its Nurse Aide I, or CNA I, program at the college’s main campus in Vance County. The group posed for a class picture at their training site, Guardian Care of Henderson. Pictured above, front row from left, are Annette Rogers of Oxford, Susan Barron, Beverly Daeke, Octavia Harris and Shirley Hargrove, all of Henderson, Donna Yancey of Oxford and Shannon Williams of Henderson; back row from left, Zora Wilkerson of Oxford, Siobhan Wright and Tiffany Alvarado, both of Henderson, Frances Gillis of Oxford, and Jacqueline Gill and Shirley Branch, both of Henderson.Instructors for the course were Linda Hahnel, RN, and Susan English, RN.These graduates are now eligible to take the North Carolina Nurse Aide I Competency Exam.Nurse Aide I & II programs are designed to prepare students to become Certified Nursing Assistants.
