Nurse Aide II course offered at night at VGCC

Vance-Granville Community College will offer an evening Nurse Aide II course at the college’s main campus in Vance County, October 20, 2008 through Feb. 4, 2009. Classes will be held Monday through Wednesday, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m.

To register for the course, a student must be listed on the Nurse Aide I (CNA I) registry, have a high school diploma or GED , and have a recommendation from an employer or instructor. Graduates of the Nurse Aide II program may find employment at hospitals, nursing homes and home health agencies. Students in this course will learn more advanced nursing skills such as sterile dressing changes and tube feedings.

The cost of the course is $95 plus approximately $50 for the textbook.
