LPN Class Helps Others During Thanksgiving Holiday

The 2002-2003 LPN class has had a busy fall semester.

A very diverse group of individuals came together and decided to help their community by putting together a food drive.

A box for donations was placed inside the lobby of the nursing faculty and staff, and filled with canned goods and non-perishable food items. These items were prepared in Thanksgiving baskets and donated to three separate families whose names were chosen at the discretion of the Vance County Department of Social Services.

As future nurses, the LPN students wanted to help needy families with the hopes of changing their lives for the better during the Thanksgiving holidays.

To cap off their semester, the LPN students held a raffle, with all money raised going towards future activities. The first place prize was a gift basket from Bath & Bodyworks, won by Joann Corbett. The second place prize was a beautiful candle set, won by Brittany Blackwell.
