Kerr Lake Art Society Photo Show Planned At VGCC April 16-22

Here’s your chance to show off those pretty, unique pictures you have been taking, and maybe win some money, too.

The Kerr Lake Art Society and Vance-Granville Community College will sponsor a photography show at the VGCC Civic Center April 16-22. The show is open to anyone who would like to exhibit.

Categories for prizes will be black-and-white, color, and digi tally-electronically produced. Cash awards and ribbons will be awarded for first, second and third place, and honorable mentions will be given at the judge’s discretion.

Photographs must be no smaller than 5×7 inches and no larger than 16×20. Each must be matted or framed, and must be equipped for hanging. The cost to exhibit will be $10 for three entries or $15 for five entries.

Entries will be accepted at the Vance-Granville Community College Civic Center off Exit 209 on I-85 between Henderson and Oxford, N.C., on Friday, April 15 from 2 to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

All work must be picked up between noon and 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 22, unless other arrangements are made. Photographs not picked up will become the property of the Kerr Lake Art Society.

In addition, the photographs may be entered in the May 2005 Kerr Lake Spring Art Show.
