Free Seminar At VGCC To Teach Non-Profits How To Raise Money

A motivational speaker with 10 years experience in fund raising will conduct a seminar titled “How to Raise Funds for Non-Profits” at Vance-Granville Community College on Tuesday, May 24.

The seminar, which is free, will run from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 7107 of Building 7 on VGCC’s main campus in Vance County.

Denise Ryan, owner of FireStar of Raleigh, will give participants a thorough overview of fund raising. Aspects of fund raising such as corporate giving, special events, individual giving and grant writing will be covered, as well as record keeping and donor recognition.
