Criminal Justice Instructor Wins Granville A+ Award

Louise B. Terry, VGCC Criminal Justice instructor, has been awarded the A+ Award for Employee Excellence, by the Granville County Schools.

Terry, who teaches Criminal Justice at J.F. Webb High School and South Granville High School, received the award at ceremonies held Jan. 7 at West Oxford Elementary School.

The award was presented to teachers who demonstrate “outstanding examples of making decisions and taking actions on the Granville Schools’ nine operational principles.” Teachers nominate their fellow instructors for the award. Terry was nominated by teachers at both Webb and South Granville high schools.

Terry, who lives in Henderson, began work for VGCC in August 2003. Angela Johnson, program head for Criminal Justice, said she was thrilled to learn of the recognition earned by one of her instructors.
