Use this guide to understand how, when and where a course is offered.
Refer to the legend below when viewing the schedule. The course section numbering system reflects the multiple starting dates during each semester.
Guide to Letters in Section Numbers: (How a course is offered)

V | HSE- 155-V40 | V-Net Class (Two-way video) | A course where 50% or greater of the instruction is delivered by two or more way video with a requirement that students have internet access as a supplemental part of the course. V-net classes are offered to students at multiple campuses at the same time. |
X | PHM- 165-X01 | Hybrid | A course where the primary delivery method is 50% or greater online with a requirement that students also meet in traditional face-to- face or a synchronous online (online, but with specific meeting dates and time) class sessions as indicated on the course schedule |
SZ | MAT- 003-SZ90 | Synchronous Online | A course where up to 99% of the instruction is delivered online, but a synchronous online meeting pattern is also available as supplemental or mandated instruction. NOTE: Some gateway courses will have an “R” in the section number, such as ENG- 111-ER01 or MAT- 171-ZR90, which indicates that the class has a required co-requisite course that must be taken simultaneously. The section number of the co-requisite course will match the primary course. For example ENG- 111-ER01 will have a required co-requisite course of ENG- 011-ER01, MAT- 143-ER01 will have a required corequisite course of MAT- 043-ER01, and MAT- 171-ZR90 will have a required co-requisite course of MAT- 071-ZR90. These corequisite courses are offered as part of the RISE initiative that began Spring Semester 2020 at VGCC.
