MLK Day Celebration: Honoring the Dream
Join us as we celebrate the life, legacy, and vision of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. through an inspiring program of music, poetry, and reflection. Our choir will offer uplifting songs that echo Dr. King’s themes of hope, unity, and peace, while students share original and selected poems inspired by his enduring message of justice, equality, and love.
Through the voices and reflections of the VGCC community, we will honor the power of nonviolence, the importance of character, and the shared responsibility we carry in keeping Dr. King’s dream alive. Together, we will remember the past, reflect on the present, and look forward with hope to a more just and united future.
All are welcome to attend and be inspired.
We are excited to have a volunteer choir, “Work in Progress,” led by the inspiring Rev Roy Burroughs.
Location: VGCC Main Campus Civic Center, Building 9
