DRA 118*** Script Analysis
This course provides a foundational study of the structure of plays for the theatre. Emphasis is placed on the study of plays from the earliest forms of theatre to the present, analyzed through elements of the dramatic text including character, action, genre, language, spectacle, structure, style and theme. Upon completion, students should be able to analyze plays for academic use, as well as for theatrical productions as actors, designers and/or directors.
This course has been approved for transfer under the CAA and ICAA as a premajor and/or elective course requirement.
