ATI TEAS Overview
Only VGCC students pursuing a nursing program are eligible to take the TEAS at Vance-Granville Community College.
Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) Program
For Fall 2027 entry and beyond, applicants to the Associate Degree Nursing (ADN) program must achieve the following minimum scores on the ATI TEAS:
- Overall ATI TEAS score: 62% or higher
- Reading score: 60% or higher
- Math score: 60% or higher
Application Period: November 1 through February 1 each year.
The ATI TEAS assessment must be completed within the 3-year application period and must be valid within the applicable application cycle.
Unlimited attempts are permitted.
Applicants are responsible for ensuring that their ATI TEAS scores meet the required minimums and are valid at the time of application.
The New ATI TEAS
ATI launched the NEW ATI TEAS-TEAS 7 June 3, 2022. Although ATI has now retired the TEAS V and VI and it will no longer be administered, VGCC will continue to accept TEAS V and TEAS VI scores. ATI TEAS 4 will not be accepted. All TEAS tests must contain a composite score not individual scores.

Online Testing: $87.00
In- Person Testing: $87.00
Note: The ATI TEAS assessment may be taken at VGCC, however we will accept TEAS scores from another institution. TEAS results must be within three (3) years.
RN Fundamentals Testing Overview
Only VGCC students pursing the LPN to ADN Transition program are eligible to take the RN Fundamentals exam. A minimum score of Level 1 is required.
CNA Written Exam
The NNAAP written examination consists of 70 multiple-choice items, with 10 of these items being non-scored and used for statistical purposes.
