RAD 141 Radiation Safety

This course covers the principles of radiation protection and radiobiology. Topics include the effects of ionizing radiation on body tissues, protective measures for limiting exposure to the patient and personnel, and radiation monitoring devices. Upon completion, students should be able to demonstrate an understanding of the effects and uses of radiation in diagnostic radiology.
