It’s time to start practicing your golf swing! The Vance-Granville Community College Foundation will hold its annual Golf Tournament to benefit VGCC students on May 5-6, 2025, at the Henderson Country Club.
This year will mark 41 years of supporting students through golf at Vance-Granville. The tournament features premier golf, lively competition, networking, and the opportunity to give back to students in need.
Golfers will choose whether to play on Monday or Tuesday. Each day will kick off with registration beginning at 11:30 a.m., followed by a delicious boxed lunch. Golfers will enjoy a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m., embarking on 18 holes of golf complete with a golf cart, trophies, and fun.
The VGCC Foundation awards hundreds of scholarship endowments to students—more than any other such program in North Carolina. Funds from the two-day tournament will provide crucial resources to fund student scholarships and support the greater mission of the College, including the food pantry and emergency grants. Enhancing and expanding need-based aid promotes successful outcomes for all learners, setting them up for a brighter future.
“We extend our deepest gratitude to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers whose unwavering commitment make our golf tournament a resounding success in raising funds to support our students,” said Tanya Weary, Executive Director of The VGCC Foundation. “Your remarkable generosity will have a lasting impact, empowering us to change the lives of our students.”
Registration and sponsorships are now underway for the region’s most anticipated golf event. Anyone interested in participating as a sponsor or as a golfing team should sign up at www.vgcc.edu/golf by April 15. Space is limited, and early registration is recommended.
