Vance-Granville Community College has proudly served the citizens of Vance, Granville, Franklin, and Warren Counties for 57 years. Throughout its history, VGCC has transformed lives as a vital resource for accessible higher education, workforce training, and lifelong learning across the region.
VGCC alumni continue to make meaningful contributions in their professions and communities, demonstrating the lasting impact of a Vance-Granville education. To celebrate these achievements, The VGCC Foundation established the Distinguished Alumni Award, recognizing one outstanding alumnus each year.
The Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor bestowed upon an alumnus by The VGCC Foundation. It recognizes individuals who exemplify excellence through significant contributions to their careers, communities, and the College.

Nominations are open to the public; anyone may nominate a deserving VGCC alumnus by completing the official nomination form. To submit a nomination, please complete the Alumni Award Nomination Form online or request a form via email at [email protected].
