Trustees Urge General Assembly to Support Community Colleges with Increased Funding

Vance-Granville Community College’s Board of Trustees adopted a resolution urging the North Carolina General Assembly to support the state’s community colleges with increased funding at the board’s bi-monthly meeting on Monday, March 16. VGCC Paralegal program receives State Bar recognition, will hold information session

The Paralegal Technology program at Vance-Granville Community College was recently designated as a “Qualified Paralegal Studies Program” by the North Carolina State Bar. The State Bar’s Board of Paralegal Certification approved the VGCC program for this recognition at a meeting in February, but the status is considered to be retroactively effective from Dec. 18, 2014.  Read More

Vanguards basketball season ends in second round of conference tourney

The Vance-Granville Community College Vanguards men’s basketball team notched another important conference win on Sunday, Feb. 22, defeating the Red Hawks of Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, 63-60.
