VGCC to offer new Apple Swift Programming Course

Vance-Granville Community College will offer a new coding course, Apple Swift Programming I, during the Second 8-Week Spring Term. In this course, students will learn how to develop Apps for iPhones and iPads. Classes begin March 14 and will be held online.

IT jobs in software development, quality assurance, analysis, and testing are expected to grow by 22%, much faster than the average, by 2030 . Now is the time to get started on an information technology career in computer programming and coding.

VGCC is offering a new computer programming certificate that provides students with a core knowledge of common programming and coding languages desired in today’s job market. This certificate provides numerous employment prospects, as it covers multiple industry sectors including healthcare, finance, and banking, and mobile technology. Many courses include an available industry certification.
