Get your creative juices flowing during the 2023-2024 academic year! Vance-Granville’s Fine Arts program will introduce two new classes for the Fall ’23 semester:

  • Digital Photography 1 ( ART 264 ) is debuting at the college’s South Campus. This highly-anticipated course, which is a new addition to the college’s Fine Arts curriculum, will meet once weekly on Monday evenings. (Currently offered at South Campus only)
  • Drawing 1 ( ART 131 ), a new offering at VGCC’s Franklin Campus, will be the first course to utilize the campus’s all-new art studio. The course will also be offered on Main Campus.

“We are so excited to be able to expand our Fine Arts offerings to our Franklin and South campuses,” said Betsy Henderson, Department Chair of Fine Arts and Humanities at Vance-Granville. “These classes and other future studio art courses will help us bring creative students into our Associate in Fine Arts-Visual Art degree program and strengthen arts education in the communities we serve.”

Students may find specific details for these courses on the Fall 2023 16-Week Schedule, listed on the college’s Class Schedules page.
