Student Entrepreneurs will Take Center Stage at March Event

|
News

Vance-Granville Community College will host a Student Entrepreneurship Fair on Tuesday, March 31, from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., providing a platform for student entrepreneurs to showcase and promote their small businesses. This event is organized by the College’s Student Government Association and co-sponsored by its Small Business Center and Entrepreneurship Club.

The fair is designed to highlight the innovation and initiative of VGCC students while offering participants valuable, real-world business experience. Student vendors will have the opportunity to present their products and services, engage directly with customers, and build connections with fellow students, faculty, and members of the community.

In addition to supporting individual entrepreneurs, the event reflects the College’s broader commitment to workforce development and economic growth. By creating a space where students can apply classroom knowledge in a practical setting, the fair demonstrates how VGCC students are succeeding both academically and professionally.

Organizers note that the event also aims to strengthen relationships between Vance-Granville Community College and the surrounding community. While only current/former students may participate as vendors, attendance is open to the public. Attendees will have the chance to discover and support a variety of student-owned businesses while learning more about the talent and creativity emerging from VGCC.

Up to 40 student businesses will be selected to participate. Eligible vendors include current and former VGCC students who own and operate a small business. Participation is free, making the event accessible to entrepreneurs at all stages of development.

The deadline to register is Friday, March 27, at 5 p.m. Interested participants should apply through the online registration form.
